Bankers’ Bank Exceeds Goals for 2017 United Way Campaign

Bankers’ Bank was recognized for an outstandingly successful United Way pledge drive this year. The bank and its employees earned the Red Feather Award from United Way of Dane County recognizing the largest dollar increase in employee giving for an organization with 100-349 employees. Combined pledges and bank matches totaled $63,265.00.

2016 was the first year the bank participated and that year nearly 60% of Bankers’ Bank employees showed their support. In 2017 the total pledge amount increased by 57%, and the total number of staff pledging increased by nearly 20%.

Brad Stamper, President and CEO of Bankers’ Bank said, “I know that many of our customers and shareholders are longtime supporters of the United Way campaign and we wanted to join you in giving back. I’m very proud of our committed staff and their generosity. Taking your lead in this worthwhile endeavor felt like a natural way for us to join you in building stronger communities.”

Bankers’ Bank understands the importance of the work United Way does in our communities and appreciates the many ways our employees give to the cause. The bank held an all-staff pizza lunch in November to mark the campaign’s success, and matched every donation one-to-one. Donations of $240 or more earned 73% of donors the right to wear jeans on Fridays for the entire fourth quarter. We are proud to support United Way and look forward to 2018.
