Bankers’ Bank Welcomes Courtney Waickus as Senior Vice President, Director of Payments

Bankers’ Bank, a leading correspondent bank for community banks across Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Ohio and Michigan, is pleased to announce that Courtney Waickus has joined the organization as Senior Vice President. She will be the Director of Payments within the Payments and Cash Management division.

Courtney brings more than 13 years of treasury management and payments experience to Bankers’ Bank. Most recently, she served as Treasury Services/Payments Sales Manager for JPMorgan Chase in Chicago. There, she specialized in strategic treasury management solutions. This included cash management, payments optimization, operational efficiencies, and relationship development across commercial banking segments.

In her new role, Waickus will lead Bankers’ Bank’s payments strategy. She will also serve as the subject matter expert for both current and emerging payment solutions. Working closely with executive leadership, the sales team, and the Payments and Cash Management division, she will help deliver innovative payment services. As a result, these services will support the evolving needs of community banks and their customers.

“Courtney’s extensive payments expertise, industry knowledge, and passion for helping financial institutions succeed make her an outstanding addition to our team,” said Scott Platto, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Bankers’ Bank. “Her experience and strategic perspective will be invaluable. This will be especially true as we continue to enhance our payments capabilities and provide solutions that help community banks compete and grow.”

Courtney is already familiar with the Bankers’ Bank mission and value proposition. She has worked closely with the organization for more than two years while at JPMorgan Chase. Her understanding of the correspondent banking environment and commitment to building strong client relationships position her well. As a result, she will help drive the continued success of the Payments and Cash Management division.

“I am excited to join Bankers’ Bank and work alongside a team that is deeply committed to serving community banks,” said Waickus. “I look forward to leveraging my experience to strengthen our payments offerings while helping customers navigate an increasingly dynamic payments landscape.”

Courtney earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa and a Master of Business Administration from Ashford University.
