Bankers’ Bank announces an executive promotion and the addition of two new team members
Bankers’ Bank, a leading correspondent bank for community banks located in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio, announces a promotion and two new team members.
Tom Underkofler – Bankers’ Bank recently appointed Tom Underkofler as Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer. In this new role, he is responsible for leading and growing the Investments division. Tom joined Bankers’ Bank in 1996 in the investment department and spent over 15 years in that area. Tom is excited to return full circle to Investments and to lead new initiatives for the department. In his time with the bank, he has led several teams including, Investments, Finance, Wealth Management and most recently, Technology and Analytics. He holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin Madison and has completed the Graduate School of Banking.
David Murray, CFA – Bankers’ Bank welcomes David Murray as Senior Vice President, Investment Director. In his new role, Dave is responsible for helping community banks manage their investment portfolios. Over his 24 year career-span, Dave has held roles in financial future sales, global derivative products, and institutional equity sales. Most recently, Dave spent more than 8 years as an SVP, Sales Trader, Hedging and Loan Solutions at Pacific Coast Bankers’ Bank. He is looking forward to continuing to serve community banks in his new role. In addition to being a Chartered Financial Analyst, Dave is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana where he received his MBA and holds a Bachelors of Finance degree from Benedictine University.
Ed Borchert – Bankers’ Bank is excited to welcome Ed Borchert as Senior Vice President, Chief Credit Officer, Commercial Banking. In his new role, Ed will be responsible for leading the credit administration and commercial loan operations areas of the bank. Ed has 29 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a vast majority of his career in community banking in Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois. Prior to joining Bankers’ Bank, Ed was a SVP, Credit Officer with a Midwest bank holding company. Throughout his career, Ed has been involved in leading credit underwriting and portfolio management activities for commercial and agricultural lending. Ed holds a MBA from the University of Iowa and a Bachelors of Accounting & Management from Loras College. He is excited to join a growing organization that focuses on supporting community banks.
